Description

Here is the translation of the HTMCL code into English:

What are these fasteners used for?

These fasteners are used to securely attach our 80 and 200kg drawer slides to a side panel or drawer. Please note that you need access to the rear of the side panel to tighten the bolt or hold the sleeve nut in place. So, it’s not a blind attachment.

Since the sleeve of the nut partially fits into the hole to be drilled (in the side panel), you will need holes with a diameter of 6.5mm.

In most cases, it doesn’t matter whether you pass the bolt or the sleeve nut through the drawer slides from the inside. You can even mount drawer slides on both sides of a wall with a single bolt-nut attachment.

An exception to this is when mounting our 80kg slides on the inside wall of a cabinet. In this case, it is necessary for the sleeve nut to be on the inside of the slide, and the bolt on the outside of the cabinet.

Also, keep in mind that when using our 200kg slides with locks, you should leave certain holes in the largest slide runner (cabinet side) empty. An internal component of the lock passes very close to these holes. To determine which holes this applies to, move the slide open and closed while simultaneously looking through the holes to see if something passes by closely. If you use our mounting brackets, you don’t need to worry about this. The hole pattern in the brackets is designed for this purpose.

What length of bolts should I order?

The length of the bolts to order depends on the thickness of the side panel against which the slides will be bolted. If you position the bolt head on the inside of the drawer slide and the sleeve nut on the outside of the wall, it doesn’t matter if the bolt is longer than indicated below. The thread of the bolt will then protrude on the outside. Shorter bolts will obviously not work. If you follow the specifications below, you can also position the bolt head on the outside of the wall. A bolt head looks neater than a sleeve nut.

How many fasteners do I need?

The number of fasteners depends on the load and the length of the drawer slides. When we make 200kg drawers, we recommend the following per connection:

  • 300-750mm length = 3 fastening points
  • 800-1,350mm length = 4 fastening points
  • 1,400-2,000mm length = 5 fastening points

You can also use these quantities for 80kg drawer slides, both on the cabinet and drawer sides. Keep in mind that this is per drawer slide. Here are a few examples to clarify:

  1. You want to mount one set of 80kg-750mm drawer slides using these fasteners on both the drawer and the cabinet. You will need 4 connections, so you’ll need: 4 x 3 pieces = 12 fasteners. It’s often wise to add one extra in case you drop a nut and can’t find it again, for example.
  2. You want to mount one 200kg-1600mm drawer slide on a side panel using these bolt-nuts and attach the other drawer slide to the bottom using our right-angle mounting bracket. You want to connect the drawer to the drawer slides using screws that you provide. In this case, you’ll need: Half a set of mounting brackets and 1 x 5 pieces of separate bolt-nuts to attach the drawer slide to the side panel. The mounting brackets already include bolt-nuts for connecting the bracket to the other drawer slide

, so you don’t need to add those separately. Fasteners to attach the bracket to the surface are not included. For this example, you’ll only need half a set of mounting brackets, in addition to the 5 separate bolt-nuts. You can halve a whole set after adding it to the shopping cart by clicking the minus sign.[/li>
