40kg drawer runner mounting for 5-7mm wall thickness (1pc. M3x8)

With these fasteners, you can neatly attach our 40kg drawer runners to a side wall or drawer. Please note that you must be able to reach the back of the side wall to tighten the bolt or to hold the sleeve nut. So it is not a blind attachment.

Because the sleeve of the nut also partly falls into the hole to be drilled (in the side wall), you need holes with a diameter of 4.5 mm.

It does not matter whether you insert the bolt or the sleeve nut from the inside through the drawer runners. You can even mount drawer runners on both sides of a wall with one bolt and nut attachment.

The length of the bolts to be ordered depends on the thickness of the side wall to which the runners will be bolted. If you position the bolt head on the inside of the drawer runner and the sleeve nut on the outside of the wall, it does not matter if the bolt is longer than indicated below. The thread of the bolt will then protrude on the outside. Shorter will of course not work. If you adhere to the specifications below, you can also position the bolt head on the outside of the wall. A bolt head looks neater than a sleeve nut.

• 3-5mm wall = M3x6mm bolt
• 5-7mm wall = M3x8mm bolt
• 7-9mm wall = M3x10mm bolt
• 9-11mm wall = M3x12mm bolt
• 11-13mm wall = M3x14mm bolt
• 13-15mm wall = M3x16mm bolt
• 15-17mm wall = M3x18mm bolt
• 17-19mm wall = M3x20mm bolt
• 19-21mm wall = M3x22mm bolt
• 22-24mm wall = M3x25mm bolt
• Loose M3 sleeve nut bolt

The number of fasteners depends on the load and the length of the drawer runners. 3 mounting locations per connection are sufficient for all 40kg drawer runner lengths.

Please note that it is 3 pieces per drawer runner per connection (casing / drawer side). Some examples to clarify:

1. You want to mount one set of 40kg-750mm drawer runners using these fasteners against both the drawer and the casing. You will then need 4 connections and: 4 x 3 pieces = 12 fasteners. It is often wise to add one extra in case you drop a nut and can’t find it.
2. You want to mount one set of 40kg-300mm drawer runners against both inside sides of a casing using these bolts and nuts. You want to secure the drawer in between with screws. You will then only need 2 bolts and nuts and therefore: 2 x 3 pieces = 6 fasteners.
